How to Create a MySQL Database and User in cPanel?

cPanel allows you to easily create a MySQL database, create a database user, and assign the user to the database.

Follow the Steps Below

1. Log in to your cPanel account.
2. Go to the Databases section.
3. Click MySQL Databases.
4. Under Create New Database, enter your database name and click Create Database.
5. Scroll down to MySQL Users.
6. Enter a username and create a strong password.
7. Click Create User.
8. Go to Add User To Database.
9. Select the database user and database you created.
10. Click Add.
11. Select ALL PRIVILEGES or choose only the privileges required by your application.
12. Click Make Changes.

Your MySQL database and user are now ready to use.

Important

cPanel may automatically add your cPanel username as a prefix to the database and database username.

For example:

cpuser_database
cpuser_dbuser

Keep your database password secure and do not share it publicly.
