The Default Address feature in cPanel allows you to control how emails sent to invalid or non-existing email addresses on your domain are handled.
Follow the Steps Below
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Go to the Email section.
- Click Default Address.
- Select the domain for which you want to configure the default address.
- Choose how you want to handle emails sent to invalid addresses:
- Discard the email while the server processes it by SMTP time with an error message.
- Forward the email to another email address.
- Enter the required email address or error message.
- Click Change to save the settings.
Important
For better protection against spam, it is generally recommended to reject emails sent to non-existing addresses rather than forwarding all such messages to one mailbox.
