To create an autoresponder in cPanel, follow these steps:
1. Log in to cPanel:
Access your cPanel account using your web browser and log in with your username and password.
2. Navigate to the "Autoresponders" section:
Once you're logged in, look for and click on the "Autoresponders" icon or link. It's usually located in the Mail section of cPanel.
3. Click on "Add Autoresponder":
In the Autoresponders section, click on the "Add Autoresponder" button to create a new autoresponder.
4. Set up the Autoresponder details:
You'll be directed to a form where you need to provide the details for the autoresponder:
- Character Set: Choose the character set encoding for the autoresponder emails. The default is usually "UTF-8."
- Interval: Set the number of hours the autoresponder should wait before sending another response to the same email address. If you want it to send only one response per email, you can set this to "0" (zero).
- Email: Enter the email address for which you want to create the autoresponder (e.g., yourname@example.com).
- From: Enter the name that will appear as the sender of the autoresponder emails.
- Subject: Enter the subject of the autoresponder email.
- HTML Message (optional): If you want to send an HTML-formatted response, you can enter the HTML content here.
- Plain Text Message: Enter the plain text content of the autoresponder email. This will be used if the recipient's email client does not support HTML.
5. Click on "Create/Modify":
After filling in the details, click on the "Create" or "Create/Modify" button to create the autoresponder.
6. Verify the autoresponder:
The autoresponder should now be set up. You can verify its successful creation by checking the list of autoresponders in the "Autoresponders" section.
Your autoresponder is now active and will automatically send a response to anyone who sends an email to the specified email address. It's a useful feature for setting up automatic replies when you are away, acknowledging receipt of emails, or providing additional information to email senders. Remember to turn it off or delete it when you no longer need the autoresponder.
