Email routing in cPanel allows you to configure how your server handles incoming emails for specific domains on your hosting account. You can choose to deliver emails locally to the server or forward them to a remote mail exchanger. Here's how to set up email routing in cPanel:

1. Log in to cPanel:
Access your cPanel account using your web browser and log in with your username and password.

2. Navigate to the "Email Routing" section:
Once you're logged in, search for and click on the "Email Routing" icon or link. It's usually located in the Mail section of cPanel.

3. Choose the domain:
In the Email Routing section, you'll see a list of domains associated with your cPanel account. Select the domain for which you want to configure email routing.

4. Select the routing option:
There are three options for email routing:

- Automatically Detect Configuration: This is the recommended option. It allows cPanel to automatically detect the best email routing configuration based on the domain's DNS settings.
- Local Mail Exchanger: Choose this option if you want to deliver incoming emails locally to the server. The server will handle all email delivery for the domain.
- Remote Mail Exchanger: Choose this option if you want to forward incoming emails to a remote mail exchanger (e.g., an external email service like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365). You'll need to provide the remote mail exchanger's settings.

5. Save the settings:
After selecting the desired email routing option, click on the "Change" or "Save" button to save your changes.

Please note that for most standard setups, you can use the "Automatically Detect Configuration" option, which will automatically configure the email routing based on your domain's DNS settings. However, if you have specific requirements, such as using an external mail service, you can choose the "Remote Mail Exchanger" option and provide the necessary settings.

Remember that email routing changes might take some time to propagate across the internet, so it's possible that it may not take effect immediately. If you have any doubts or concerns, you can contact your hosting provider's support team for assistance.
